After few hours of breaking my head, the following is a summary of things to do when HOSTS files changes are not applied to the browser behavior. 1. Make sure you didn't add a .txt extension when edited the file in the Notepad 2. Make sure you don't put http:// or https:// before the domain 3. Run cmd and them type ipconig /flushdns 4.
